Become a member of the Wanganui Art Society Keep up to date with the exhibitions. The 'Annual Exhibition' is a good exhibition to enter in for exposure to the community. Become a member of WAG (Wanganui Artist Guild) WAG's objectives are: To initiate and develop arts-related projects: Lobby in support of artists. Coordinate visual arts information for public access. Publish a quarterly broadsheet, Frisky, that includes a calendar of events as well as articles and reviews. Develop a website for artists in the Whanganui region. www.whanganuiartists.org

Wanganui Open Studio Weekend It is a time for all artists to open their studio's to the public. Run over a weekend for over 5 years it has proven to be a popular activity for many people around the lower half of the Island. www.whanganuiopenstudios.org.nz
Wanganui Potter's Society The Potter's Society is a fantastic society to belong too! Situated at 19 Taupo Quay. Join up and recieve updated newsletters, use of the building and kilm, exhibitions, join groups and classes, many fun events to attend, the use of their library and much more.
